Why Do I Even Look At All?

Why Are We, As Women So Hard on Ourselves?

Most of my shopping excursions, even in my 20’s when I had a much smaller waistline and more fashion options than I do now, ended in some level of disappointment.

“That shirt doesn’t look good on a woman with anything less than D cups…..”
“I HATE bathing suit shopping!”
“I won’t be attracting a husband wearing THIS dress…..”
“Who are people making jeans for?”
“What is this size 24?”
“I had Barbie dolls bigger than these!”

About Elaine

When I first discovered the phenomenon of online clothing sales back in 2016, I was captivated by the idea that a shopping “community” could arise out of the love of soft leggings and oversized shirts.  I was drawn in by the concept that someone could fire up a nighttime “Facebook Live” show and attract a group of like-minded women, all who seemed to have the same body-image issues I was grappling with, and they were still able to laugh about their “muffin tops” and yet find pretty dresses to wear to the next PTA meeting.

Facebook Live

We appear “Live” on Facebook throughout the week, and we bring our inventory into the community at vendor events, private home parties, business partner hosted Sip & Shops, and other types of residential pop ups.  We have a small catalog with our most recent styles available for the days when you just want to browse from your bed in your pajamas.  And yes, we sell the world’s softest pajamas, too.

Girl's Night Out

Join us for a “Girls’ Night” and settle in for some great camaraderie and a little fashion show.  Shop if you like, talk if you’re inspired, or just watch and listen.  We have very few “rules of engagement.”  It’s more or less this: Eat the Chocolate.  Drink the Wine.  Buy the Dress.

The women that wear them are."

Community is so important for connecting and supporting.

Coming from a background in family therapy, I recognize the need for compassionate connection in every encounter. The retail clothing business has allowed me to serve women who are looking for:

  • fashion solutions to everyday issues:
  • comfort, work-appropriate styles,
  • the challenge of finding attractive, fun clothing for larger women,
  • items that are easy to wash and wear,
  • economical price point,
  • clothing that allows enough movement to keep up with busy children and looks polished enough for a work meeting.

Outfits that are flattering and eye-catching without being unnecessarily revealing.
